Taking Stock of the Past year and forging Forward towards Greatness!!!

I have taken time the last couple of days to take stock of the past year in what I would call a Journey of Reflection, Review, Rejuvenation and Reconnection to my Purpose.

While I agree that these moments are always Solitary and personal, they help reinforce our resolve to the greatest course of our dreams. These moments help put us on check and on toes to our calling in our respective fields of life and largely help shape the who we become.

2025 will be a good year for those committed to the Dream of Possibilities.

Yes, we can make a Difference!!!

I will be remiss if I do not share some of the learnings during this time that I would otherwise call “The Hibernation”.

  • ??? Commit to your Vision & Commit to your Growth.

A vision is a blueprint of our Future and it’s the guide that will help us approach our lives with intention every single day. Vision gives us resilience to overcome any challenges or obstacles that may come our way. It will give us the momentum that we need to move forward even when circumstances and the details appear overwhelming. It’s critical to note that the world will present us with situations that will make us doubt ourselves at some point. We will ask ourselves questions whose answers will only be found in our firm resolve to stay the cause. Always remind yourself, the why you started, and this will greatly help you to remain committed to your growth. Let the disappointment's fuel your will and resolve to make yourself a better person in pursuit of impact and greatness. Trust in your growth, keep the focus because in you lies the greatest Asset you’ll ever have-Reaffirm Jeremiah 1:5

  • Be Ruthless to the things that don’t matter.

“How many have laid to waste your life when you weren’t aware of what you were losing, how much was wasted in pointless grief, foolish joy, greedy desire and social amusements-how little of your own was left for you. You will realize that you are dying before your time”-Seneca on the Brevity of Life

Always Focus on what really matters, starve distractions, temporary pleasures that add little or no value to your long-term Growth.

Be bold to cut ties, links, and networks that do not support your growth. Pursue friendships and partnerships that celebrate your growth as well as hold you accountable. This decision is not selfish, but it is Selfcare.

  • ??? Accept Responsibility for where you are.

Our current states reflect the outcome of our actions and decisions. Who we are is a product of what we have accepted and continued to allow to happen to us.

As such we must step up and take responsibility for who we are, take action that gets us closer to the Purpose of our existence. Be in the driver’s sit to understand that you are the architect of your own destiny. Your decisions and actions will play a big factor into who you become. Take full ownership of your journey and stop living a life of default. Face reality and use this to create a foundation for your growth. Let's keep becoming.

  • ??? Keep working Hard and Be consistent.

Hard work beats talent any day.

Work hard and smart, don’t give up no matter what life serves you. Be consistent, keep the Faith, believe in yourself and above all trust the process of your evolution.

Never conform to cultures that do not support your progress, instead be busy in crafting your own path and an identity that resonates with your purpose in life.

Create your brand, form habits that support your growth, be patient and trust the timings. The Dividend for hard work is ultimate Success!

  • ??? Develop a sense of Urgency.

In life we do not have unlimited time to do the things we want to do and as such we must live with a sense of urgency.

Time is a currency, unlike Money it can never be replaced~ Dr.Myles Monroe.

Procrastination is a silent killer and a form of self-sabotage, create a habit of having deadlines to your goals i.e. both short term and long-term goals. This practice makes us Accountable to our daily actions.

Never wait for perfect timing to start, there will never ever be perfect time, start where you are with what you have. The other details will unveil as you progress.

Value your time and live with urgency and learn to number your days for today is the youngest that you will ever be.

  • ??? Self-Discipline & Personal Excellence.

We are what we repeatedly do, excellence is then not an act but a habit.

It requires strict discipline and personal sacrifices if you are to achieve your purpose in life. Learn to say no to things that will derail your growth and commit to plans that bring you closer to your dreams.

Show up for your dreams even when it doesn’t feel like it.

In the hot pursuit of your dream’s, you’ll not always be motivated and that is quite normal in life, during these times its Self-discipline that will keep you going. You’ll be faced with moments where you will have only you to cheer you on, but nevertheless keep grinding.

  • ??? Upskill

Take time to develop yourself by growing and horning your skills.

Prioritize into becoming better every single day. Go ahead and become the very best version of yourself. Look back and say that you did all you could given the time and opportunity.

  • ??? Always Express Gratitude

It’s always great to celebrate milestones achieved no matter how small. Take time to celebrate these successes, they will act as the fuel to power you to your next horizons.

Surround yourself with people who inspire and celebrate you to be the best version of yourself

  • ??? What we owe the Future.

I borrow this from William MacAskills book, ‘’What we Owe the future’’.

The fate of our planet is in our hands. Humanity’s written story spans only five thousand years. Our yet-unwritten future could last for millions more or it could end tomorrow. As such positively influencing the distant future is the key moral priority of our time. We must Protect the Planet, the People, preserve our Biodiversity in a Sustainable manner that guarantees the safety of our future generations.

Lastly let’s always remember that there will never be a finishing line for growth and our visions will keep on unfolding as we progress. So, let’s keep pushing ourselves into becoming the very best version of ourselves.

The future is bright!!!
