Taking some much needed time ... a circuitous route from Cork to Dublin ...

The pandemic has been hard for so many of us.

It's been called lockdown, but really it’s been locked in.

Locked in a bubble of limited social connections or interactions; zooming through meetings with teams – is this status update about my project, or just about me!? Who else is on the call; you’re on mute!

It has, at times, seemed relentless.?

On August 30th 100 Deloitte colleagues and I will cycle the 700KM from our offices in Cork to our offices in Dublin via our offices in Limerick, Galway and Belfast.?It’s called the One Good Turn cycle.

We are doing it to raise awareness and much needed support for mental health.?We are doing it because we want to spend time with colleagues; to have a laugh and rebuild those social connections.?

There are easier, shorter and faster ways to get from Cork to Dublin.?But sometimes you’ve got to take your time with the things that are most important. We hope it will result in many more good turns than just one.
