Taking Risks and learning to live with it...
I have completed a whole year in a city that was new to me last year. Today, when I reflect on the year that has gone by, I won't shy away from accepting how tough it was. But then, there is undoubtedly a better way to look at the bigger picture which is by giving myself credit for embracing everything that came my way.
What I learned in this last year and will always keep close to my heart as great learnings are:
1. Risk-averse people naively think that success will somehow come to them.??
2. Risk-takers acknowledge that success requires effort, creativity, and strategic pursuit.?
3. Our goal should force us to act, and wholeheartedly embracing risk will be the only prescription for overcoming complacency, apprehension, and fear of failure.
4. There will always be a handful of brilliant moments in our lives. But in reality, our lives will always be a mix of tiny everyday victories and daily hustles.
Here's what I say to my older self today and a message to each of you:
It is okay to fail, don't hold back from taking those risks. You are stronger than you give yourself credit for.
