There is really only one person in this world who can make you happy and that’s yourself. Are you a victim or are you taking responsibility for your life? Taking responsibility means:
- Never blaming anyone else for anything you are doing, having, or feeling.
- Not blaming yourself.
- Being aware of where and when you are NOT taking responsibility so that you can change the thought or behavior.
- Handling that negative “chatterbox” in your mind that tells you all the reasons why not.
- Figuring out what you really want in life and acting on it.
Think of all areas of your life where you are not taking responsibility, i.e., home, work, family, body, family and friends, relationships, mental and emotional health, spirituality, relaxation, dreams and goals, etc.
Susan Jeffers, Ph.D. says “Most of us do not sculpt our lives. We accept what comes our way … then we gripe about it.”
Once you learn the concepts to course correct from the victim mentality, you will better understand the dynamics of handling fear, self-doubt, and uncertainty and begin to create a beautiful and satisfying life. Want to know more? Attend a Feel the Fear Training Event.
