Taking Ownership Of Our Career Path

“You are the only problem and you are the only solution”

I know this hard to accept but this is true.?

This was one of the major takeaways when I took myself seriously and sought the advice of a mentor. Not anyone… Bob Proctor himself!

Painful but it was my wake up call. The butterflies were churning in my stomach and my mind was racing left and right.

So now what? you are saying I created all this S**t in my life?

One part of me wanted to run away.. binge three days in bed, give it a good cry and start all over again the poor-me story, blaming the bad economic situation in my country, my lack of connections and?WASTA, and my constant ill-health.

But today, there was another part of me ..faint but still audible voice seeking my attention: “What if he was right??What if, theoretically, I was the one that created all of it?

Wouldn’t it be logical that I can also create something else?

And the thunderbolt answer came:


H*** Yeah… this is by law.


It’s the Law of Responsibility

Responsibility is an important concept in both personal and professional life. It involves being accountable for one’s thoughts, words and actions, and taking ownership of outcomes.?

In a career, this means stepping up when needed, managing one’s own mindset and skillset, and taking ownership of successes and failures.

For example, if we are assigned a task at work, we would be responsible for completing that task on time and meeting the requirements. Similarly, if an employee makes a mistake or has difficulties accomplishing a task, they should take responsibility for the issue and work to rectify the situation.

?Taking the initiative to be accountable for one’s work sends a message of commitment and reliability to employers, which can lead to greater job security.

And how do I know if I’ve been aligned with the Law Of Responsibility?

I always look at my results. Results never lie!

When I learned that I am the cause to my own effect, my life changed 180 degrees.

I started using my results as my GPS for the next phase, the next decision, the next career choice. If they are to my liking I build and consolidate.?

If not, I don’t fight it, resist it, find excuses for it, blame someone or something for it. I just own it.

I go back inside… to my imagination and create the results I want to get and mark that as my next destination, and gear all my mindset and skillset resources to get there.

This is the creative way of living!

Ultimately, when we take responsibility for our actions and demonstrate ownership of the outcomes, we are taking ownership of our lives and paving the path to success.
