Taking Notes
Whether I am in a weekly meeting, or learning offsite, you will always find me with a pen and paper to take notes. From the time I was in college, until today, I have always had the best retention with writing everything down. I am the person that finds great joy in filling a notebook from front to back and then carefully selecting a new one. In addition, I always have a collection of "nice pens" along with colorful markers, highlighters, and other supplies to ensure that my notes are aesthetically pleasing too! Does this sound familiar to you?
Recently, I joined the Remarkable Club. I am happy to report that writing down notes and having them organized has been really helpful. While I am still adjusting to a few things like black & white notes, or figuring out the tips or tricks, I am really excited to see what this does for efficiency in 2024. I am certain that I will no longer have to dig through my bag to find a certain paper from a meeting or try to flip and find the right page. All is well, as long as I remember to keep it charged!

For me, keeping notes are a way to keep a running action list. It allows me to lean into conversations as it gives me the confidence to return to the notes in the future if necessary. I find that my team has come to rely on my notes or details if we ever need to reference a specific conversation or number. Most importantly, while making decisions or goals, our team has become accustomed to getting to the details to ensure that we have relavent information for reference.
What do you do to take notes? How long do you keep everything? Looking forward to hearing any tips or tricks that you may have to offer.
