Taking a Much-Needed Break from the Keyboard

I was scrolling through Twitter and came across a high-profile marketer who felt she was running on a wheel, trying to satisfy the relentless need to publish content.

As digital animals, it's easy to feel like the machine constantly has to be fed. If you're not posting on LinkedIn every day, for example, you're working hard enough.

It's behavior that is difficult to change, particuarly when you're battling it out for business. Everything seems more difficult and requires so much time and effort.

But taking a break (I'm in the Yukon) and not creating is good for the soul. It allows you to re-charge, refocus and really think about how you want the next few months to unfold.

In North America, we're guilty of not taking enough vacation. But our lives need more "fun days" and fewer "work days".
