Have you seen or heard of?Rihanna's much anticipated performance?
So, after a 7 year hiatus, Ri graced the stage at the 57th Super Bowl Halftime Show, and people can't stop talking about it. Some hated it, while some of us loved it and were left wanting more.
For me, it was a moment in time to remember! She had us all singing and rocking along to her classic hits, and admiring her post-pregnancy confidence and work ethics.?
Before long, we were made to realize that Rihanna made a little more history that night, introducing us to baby #2 and being the first pregnant woman to perform at the Super Bowl. Oh, and she did so?on floating platforms! The energy was electric. Even those who weren’t familiar with her music were caught up in the moment.
Of course, not everyone was a fan. There is, and will always be mixed feelings about the perception?of art. But one thing’s for sure, Ri put on a show that will be remembered for years to come. According to Fox Sports, it's one of the most viewed half-time shows in recent years. Whether you loved it or not, you have to admit that she got everyone's attention.
Here's my personal take on the 13 minutes, 12 songs loaded event.
It was an electrifying show that showcased her immense talent and creativity. From her powerful vocals to her daring wardrobe choices - she was fully clothed, and paid homage to the iconic American fashion journalist André Leon Talley. She left an indelible mark on the almost 119 million?viewers around the world.
Here are a few lessons we can learn from her performance:
First, Rihanna showed us that it’s important to be bold and take risks. She wasn’t afraid to go against the grain and push the boundaries of what’s expected.?
Ri performed an incredible feat by dancing on platforms high in the air just a few months after giving birth, after not being on stage in five years, and while pregnant!
This is something we can all strive for in our own lives and businesses. Whether it’s trying something new, exploring a new idea to write a book or taking a chance on something that’s out of our comfort zone, taking risks can lead to great rewards.
Second, Rihanna reminded us that it’s important to stay true to yourself. She didn’t try to fit into any mold or conform to any expectations.
Many people were expecting Rihanna and friends. She gave us Rihanna and baby and the talented dancers. Ri stayed true to her own unique style and vision. This is something we can all strive for in our own lives and businesses. We should all be proud of who we are and never be afraid to express our true selves. You matter and so does your voice, your delivery, your style, your ideas.
Finally, Rihanna showed us that it’s important to have confidence in yourself. She exuded confidence throughout her performance and it was clear that she was proud of her work. Her aura, flow and ease gave an 'I am enough just as I am,?right here, right now' energy. This is something we can all strive for in our own lives. We should all be confident in our abilities and never be afraid to show the world who we are. And for the ladies reading this, let's lean in to more of that 'I am enough just as I am, right here, right now' energy and execute our projects and tasks with ease, flow and grace.
