Taking A Break From Facebook and Instagram

Happy Monday!
I just took the weekend off social media (with the exception of watching Tomorrowland on TikTok).
My confidence and expansive thinking took an upshoot even though I was taking time to rest and recover.
My brain was So much quieter.
I deleted Facebook and Instagram off of my phone and it brought me so much peace that I’ve decided that after I’ve tied up a few loose ends, I’m going to take August away from them.
I don’t think you realise just how draining social media can be until you take a step back from it and I’d like to see just how much energy I can grow with a months break away.
Of course, there are so many benefits to social media, it’s not all doom and gloom. I’ve always wanted to go to Tomorrowland and this weekend I could indulge in sets even though I’m not there, that’s pretty cool.
Through the time away from Facebook and Instagram, I’ll still be creating but in a space where I’m creating and not doom-scrolling.

I’ll be sharing episodes on my new podcast - Creative Wellbeing and Fitness For Neurospicy Entrepreneurs with Amanda Jayne Thrives. (First episode to be recorded, then I can share it with you).
It’s time to see if I can work without social media, (not counting TikTok here - I don’t get stuck there), I keep saying to my friend who doesn’t have it that I wish I didn’t have to…
Maybe it’s time to see if I don’t have to after all.
Who’s with me?
