Hi there and happy Wednesday.
I saw a #Tiktok video that challenged me this past week and shook me to the core. I write this as a reminder to the sleeping parts of me in the different areas of my life and to YOU if at all you struggle with keeping appointments with yourself and finishing meaningful projects that you start!
The #Tiktok said...
"If you are supposed to be at work lets say at 7am/ 8am... you are going to be there! If you work in a restaurant and your boss tells you to take out the trash...you're going to take out the trash! But when you tell yourself that you're going to start a #Youtube channel on Friday ... Or you tell yourself that you are going to pivot in another direction and you don't...WHY?!?there's a lack of respect for yourself and you have to get to the root of that. You have to show up for yourself. You have to put the foot on the gas and go. The drive doesn't come first, you put your foot on the gas and then you create momentum. I have struggled with keeping appointments with myself before. This contributed to me starting and stopping. That does not help build momentum of any kind.
Looking back now, I believe that there is a level of trust that I lost towards myself and what I was capable of accomplishing. Not being able to honor those things that I set out to do tarnished not only my trust but confidence that I needed.
What small step can you take next?
Nothing in beautiful in life or on this planet is rushed when being made.
Time is a friend and not a foe when a caterpillar gets into its cocoon, when a baby learns how to crawl, walk, run etc. Even the seemingly simple things such as building a house require for certain steps to be taken one after the other, one brick over the other etc.
Time is your friend and not a foe if you learn how to look at the seconds and minutes that build the hour...the hours that build the day...the days that build the week etc. It all adds up and yet still we fail at the simple task of showing up for the one moment that is required to start building on whatever you are working on.
What small step can you take today towards your #goals?
It may be a simple as putting your phone on do not disturb or in the other room to allow yourself to catch up with your thoughts. It is important to clear the noise and have a clear vision in terms of what that truly looks like.

Set an appointment with yourself
I want to encourage you today to be a good steward of your time in the coming last stretch of June. But What does this look like practically?
Step 1: I want to challenge you today to set an appointment with yourself and set an agenda item of 'Intentional Introspection' for that meeting.
I want to challenge you to truly introspect on how you have been leading your days in the month of June. Today marks the 21 day mark and this is the points where anything you may have started at the beginning of the month starts becoming a #habit. I believe that the secret to #goalsucess and reaching your #goals is creating a system that can ultimately build a habit that will start working for you.
Here's a reflection question to get you started..
What do you wish you spent more time doing in the past 3 weeks?
Step 2: From hereon out I want to ask that you map out the last week of June, by the way a week only has 7 days, so choose one day to start with, choose a time and choose how long you would be doing it, choose where you want to do it ( Take yourself on a Solo Date), and set the intention i.e. WHY you want to do it so bad! Take time to really think about the why! It has to be compelling! Write all these details down. I'm a pen and paper kind of girl
Step 3: Thereafter, go to calendar app and mark the date and time and duration of the session for the coming week and set a reminder '1 day before', '1 hour before' and '15mins' before.
Step 4: Once you've done this I would like to challenge you to show up for yourself on the day you choose just as you would a friend, family member or meetings set at work. You deserve a moment of reprise to catch up with yourself, with your thoughts and I can assure you that your body, mind and soul will thank you for for it.
Step 5: Rinse and Repeat for W1 of July
