?? Taking AI beyond a trend

?? Taking AI beyond a trend

Hey, Game Changer! ???

Last year was all about the "AI buzz". Some of it was insightful, but most of it was a part of the trend and not actually providing value.

So, when I heard how Lara Shackelford talked about AI, I was taken back. Over her career at Intel and as a start-up founder, she's gone so deep into the topic that she's become a huge resource for all things AI in Business.

Naturally, I wanted to gather all her insights so that you and I wouldn't just get caught up in the AI wave, but could implement best practices intentionally.

Here are 5 interesting AI take-aways from Lara:

  1. The rise of the GPT-store: Open AI just released their GPT-store allowing brands and creators to share their custom GPT variations with anyone. Lara hypothesized that this will help increase AI use across organizations.
  2. Data-first approach: A strong data strategy is key to the successful execution of an AI strategy. AI might not radically change the outcomes or goals of a marketing team, but rather enhances and expands the team’s understanding around AI and its specific uses.
  3. AI + customer data: Having a reliable customer data platform can be pivotal when making business decisions. Marrying AI with this data can help you gather and analyze mass amounts of information to better understand the customer journey and how to capture a larger portion of your market.
  4. Validate sources: AI allows anyone to create a piece of content in a snap. But it doesn't mean it's portraying accurate information. Make sure the content and data you are referencing is accurate and isn't coming straight from AI without a human touch. It's not worth tarnishing your reputation.
  5. Stay authentic: The more AI content that gets created, the more people will look for authenticity. Don't fall into the AI trap and forget to add in your brand's unique voice, tone, and proprietary data.?

"Last year, people were experimenting with AI on the side because organizations didn't approve internal use. Now, this is going to be the year that people are going to start more formal pilot programs." - Lara Shackelford
