It takes a village...

It takes a village...

Picture this:

It’s the end of the day.

You just completed putting the finishing touches on your marketing lead generation campaign.

You have everything set up perfectly.

Goals defined…

Buyer personas dialed in…

Blog posts ready to launch…

Personalized email campaign built…

Social media posts scheduled over all platforms…

Creative design components for your paid advertising…

And multiple lead magnets created for all desired personas…

You couldn’t be more excited to wave the flag to get the race going…

All you really have to do is say GO and the leads will start flowing like a waterfall…

GO!!!

Leads come rushing in…

Everyone in the company is excited…

The sales team is booked up for the next few weeks with zoom calls…

The company can almost taste all of that new revenue with all of these leads pouring in…

BUT…

It isn’t that easy…

Leads are just that; leads…

They need to be properly worked…

Intense discovery sessions learning about your potential customer…

Detailed conversations about the issues they are seeking to overcome…

Clear and concise conversations about the budget they have for this type of project… Involvement of all of the decision makers and influencers within the company that have a voice…

Upfront conversations regarding their expectations and needs and how your company can offer a solution…

Finding agreement on a solution as well as a detailed plan on how to role this solution out to make it a win-win for both organizations…

Reviewing a contract, getting approval on all terms including payment amount and timing as well as compiling internal teams that will project manage this endeavor…

You see…

Marketing isn’t everything…

Service isn’t everything…

Sales isn’t everything…

So…

Moral of the story is this…

If you are looking to grow your business: you need to ensure all areas of your go-to-market are properly represented, accounted for, involved and executing in your growth plans.

I have spent a career building and coaching up teams and people to create long-term sustainable growth.

You may have your marketing dialed in…and I hope you do, but if your campaign doesn’t convert into sales, everyone loses.

And, if your campaign converts into a sale, but isn't onboarded, trained and serviced properly, the company loses too.

So many excellent points here Jason Pearl. There are a number of factors that all need to be properly orchestrated to see results, and many times businesses just need some expert guidance to bring it all together. It's why we do what we do.
