Sounds like somebody's got a case of the Mondays
We all get cases of the Mondays. I had mine this Tuesday. I didn't want to get out of bed. I didn't want to write this article. I just wanted the feelings of sadness to go away. News flash: the sadness doesn't just go away. I must find the inner strength to lean into it, face the cause of these feelings, root it out, and move forward.
grit : courage and resolve; strength of character. "he displayed the true grit of the navy pilot" (https://www.google.com/search?q=definition+of+grit)
Do the next right thing
Just do the next right thing, and the next, and the next, and the next. Like Anna from Frozen 2. Yes, I've just used two movie quotes because they're simple, and we all can relate.
Here's what I did and what I'll do again if it happens again:
Just keep swimming
Just keep going. Things will be looking up. And find the grit to stay positive. One of my favorite lines is from Dory in Finding Nemo "You're doing great, just keep swimming, just keep swimming!"
How about you?
What are you struggling to overcome today? When you had these tough times before, how did you deal with it?
