It is usually said that giving gives you more than getting can ever get.
But this principle mostly works in reverse when it comes to corporate settings
So what it takes to identify the giver and taker at your workplace?
Disagreeable takers are easy to find than agreeable takers because they say it loudly what they want. But to find out about agreeable takers who are also known as fakers is a true art. These are the happiest people at workplace as they know how to keep their bosses happy but mostly people who work under them, down the line know about their true self. These people are real stars as they know how to climb the ladder of success with all their boss pleasing skills but deep down they work for their own means. However, you get to know through their subordinates and peers about their true self.
So how we can find out about such people at the time of conducting interview?
One of the ways is to spot them is to ask them about their past success and failures? How they managed to achieve them?
If their conversations about their accomplishments at work are more about “I” and “Me” but they put the blame of their failures on others than you better ask some other questions to probe further.
According to studies, takers mostly anticipate others as more selfish and use it as reason to justify their own attitude”
So how people describe others will tell you so much about themselves and how they going to deal with a similar situation.
