Not wanting to be seen as a taker is a good thing right up until that desire prevents you from getting the help you need.
There’s a difference between takers and receivers, and embracing it will result in you solving problems quickly and feeling momentum.
At the Chipotle in Lexington, Kentucky, I watched a receiver work her magic.

If you’ve read my content for any length of time, you already know two things about me:
1) I have consistently made six figures.
2) I’m a recovering money moron.
I’ll be the first to tell you that it’s not what you earn but what you keep!
In partnership with Found* (free online business bank account for solopreneurs), I’ve put together a brand new workshop, “Freelance Finance - How to Avoid the Top 5 Mistakes.”
It’s at 1:00pm ET on Thursday, 9/5.
P.S. Perry Nunes at Found offered to sweeten the deal by giving away a 1:1 coaching session with me to someone who attends ($575 value). Maybe that’s you?

About Austin L. Church
Hi, I'm Austin L. Church, a writer, marketing consultant, and business coach.
I started freelancing in 2009 after finishing my M.A. in Literature and getting laid off from a marketing agency. Freelancing led to a portfolio of mobile apps, tech startup, children's book, branding studio, and consulting practice.
Over the last 15 years, I've made north of $1.8 million as a creative entrepreneur, and looking back, I see so many missed opportunities.
That's why I'm so passionate about stacking up specific advantages and teaching freelancers, consultants, and creators how to do the same.
I want more of us to find our income-lifestyle sweet spot.

Such an important point, Austin! I've made the same mistake in my career -- I'm often slow to ask for help. And I like your distinction between bing a "receiver without being a taker."
