Takeaways from Two Weeks of Learning, Collaboration, and Inspiration

Takeaways from Two Weeks of Learning, Collaboration, and Inspiration

Over the past two weeks, I had the privilege of attending two incredible events:

?? The Rittal USA National Sales Conference in Scottsdale, Arizona

?? The EPLAN Global Kickoff in Munich, Germany

Even though I didn’t take many pictures, I thoroughly enjoyed every moment. These events serve as a reminder of how important it is to step out of the daily grind, connect with colleagues, and gain fresh perspectives on what we do. Here are my key takeaways:

1?? Nothing beats human connection

We talk a lot about professional networking, but nothing replaces in-person networking. Having real, face-to-face conversations with colleagues, partners, and customers builds trust, strengthens relationships, and opens doors to new opportunities that digital interactions just can’t replicate.

2?? Dare to be bold, and try something new

If you’re not already #1 in your industry, you have to think differently and act differently. Staying in your comfort zone and repeating the same playbook won’t take you to the top. The companies and individuals who win are those who dare to innovate, take risks, and challenge the status quo.

3?? Rising Stars & Shared Wisdom

One of the best parts of these events was seeing the energy and potential of new employees stepping up, eager to make an impact. Equally inspiring was the deep experience of seasoned colleagues who have spent decades mastering their craft. The mix of fresh energy and established wisdom creates an unbeatable formula for success.

4?? Collaboration is the foundation of success

Everyone talks about teamwork and collaboration, but to actually make it work, two things are necessary:

? Understanding who to ask for help – Many colleagues are eager to share their expertise, but first, we need to know who they are and what they do.

? Trusting the process – Collaboration only works when we believe that the combined effort will lead to better results than working alone.

5?? Change is hard—because everyone wants to change, but nobody wants to get changed

People love talking about transformation, but when it’s time to actually implement change, the resistance starts. The key? Be curious. Be open-minded. Challenge your own assumptions. The best way to drive change is to start with yourself.

These past two weeks were a reminder of why we do what we do—building stronger relationships, pushing boundaries, and continuously learning.

I’m incredibly grateful for these experiences and can’t wait to see my colleagues again soon.
