Takeaways from #RepsolLowCarbonDay

The?energy transition?represents an?enormous opportunity to create value?for everyone: society, customers, investors, companies and?–?naturally?–?the planet.?Repsol’s?commitment is absolute and, this week, we raised awareness about it again at?our?#RepsolLowCarbonDay?event,?where?we announced?even more ambitious targets to accelerate our transition process.??

The goal is very clear: to become a net zero emissions company by 2050. For me, working with such amazing and committed teams as we advance along the fastest route?possible is enormously satisfying.?We are aware of the magnitude of the challenge, but we share a vision and great determination?to reach it?led by our CEO?Josu?Jon.???

The?future?is already written,?and it?will?be?multienergy,?low carbon,?and?customer?centric.?

Here,?I will share the?Client?and Low-Carbon?Generation?Division’s main takeaways?from?an event that was extremely useful on many fronts.?

The first point that merits mention is that?generating renewable electric power?is one of the keys. We set the target of increasing renewable production by 60% by 2030, to generate 6 GW?by?2025 and 20 GW?by?2030.??

At present, we will finish the year with 1.7 GW of installed renewable capacity and a further 4.9 GW in projects under construction, due to our organic international growth in?Chile?with?Ibereólica Renovables?and in the United States with Hecate?Energy, as well as consolidating our asset portfolio in Spain.??

In the?Client?Division,?being?multienergy, customer centric,?and?world-class?digital defines?our path to decarbonization,?with?our?innovative solutions designed to cover all energy and mobility needs, as well as contributing to reducing our customers’ environmental footprints.?

In 2022, we will have?more than?1000 public electric charging stations,?and we will expand that?with fast and ultra-fast charging stations?to cover?every 50 km on all of Spain’s main roads.??And, at year end, there will be over 300 solar installations at our service stations and more than 180 solar communities?through?Solmatch.?

We continue to develop digital tools that ensure greater personalization and a better customer experience with payment apps like?Waylet, and apps?that allow?customers can view their electricity usage like?Vivit.??Our aspiration is to have eight million digital customers by 2025. The year-end launch of?Repsol?+,?a new cross-company?loyalty program that will integrate?all of?our products and services,?will help us to achieve that goal, thus?creating the first community in Spain with these characteristics.??
