Takeaways From a Photoshoot
One of the recent photo projects I enjoyed doing enormously. When a good friend of mine Robbie Beattie reached out to me with a question whether I could do a couple of portrait photos for various social media usage for him the first thought was - Hell Yeah! The second one how we could do it better and maximise the output while having a great time. It started with what we want to achieve, examples of photos we are after, logistics and then fire!
Learning from Mistakes
Should I mention that halfway through shooting I decided to change colour encoding system and I formatted the SD card with photos on it by accident... I think I shouldn't cause it's so amature and put me in a bad light, but I did it. These things happen but they can't have a place in the professional world. Using different cards and backing up throughout the day helps but first and foremost - no rush! When it's time to speed up we need to but
going slower is moving faster.
The lesson has been learnt and new #CreateGreg protocols have been put in place to be sure it was the first and the last time. So embarrassing but we managed to recover from it, I mean me and Robbie but not SD card.
It All Comes Down to Results
However, the story is not about the formatted card but having a chance to capture an amazing guy from different angles in his element. What I highly admire about Robbie, despite the fact of being a low profile person not spending time on Social Media to put himself in a good light as an entrepreneur, he just gets things done. The company he and his business partner started at the age of 16 grew to fully-blown business where the number of customers and figures are significant. We can say whatever we want but
the results speak themselves
and this is what I highly admire about him.
Another photoshoot to the creative portfolio, lessons to be learnt from and the know-how to be applied in future projects.
