Take on your Challenge and Support Mental Wellbeing!

Background

We all know that doing regular exercise has a profound effect on reducing stress and improving your mood. We also know that as many as one in five Australians experience mental health issues every year. And further that in this ‘lucky country’ of ours, we have the unhappy reputation of having the highest youth suicide rate in the world. This needs to change – and we think taking action in support of mental wellbeing is a great place to start! Challenge4Change is now taking on the challenge of getting the word out on mental wellbeing and we’ve engaged the services of Anasiou Canaris, of the highly regarded Brisbane based Media production house, The Post Office (see www.thepostoffice.studio) to capture the video.

The Proposal

With the Challenge4Change pilot program now completed, the overall campaign is poised to accelerate its reach and activity in conjunction with our program partners and with the support of our featured charities. We are looking to now ramp up our marketing program across the following important target sectors:

·      Schools                   - together with Skoolbag      

·      Sports Clubs          - together with SportsTG      

·      Personal Trainers  - together with AIPT and Fitness First           

·      Charities                 - together with Everydayhero

·      Corporate         - together with Benojo and Business First magazine                      

THE CHALLENGES

Weve developed a short-list of four popular Challenge activities that we’d like to capture as video Challenges – can you help:

SKIP IT FOR CHANGE! ?

Do you love skipping?! Grab a skipping rope and show us how many consecutive skips you can do without stopping – then repeat your first day’s effort every day for seven days – increasing the number of skips each time by 10 percent! Set up your page on the Challenge4Change website and then challenge your mates to match your effort! 

RUN IT FOR CHANGE!

Why not turn your love for running and fitness into something more by challenging yourself on the treadmill and raising much needed funds for mental wellbeing! Were talking a marathon distance (42.19KMs) So get down to your local gym and cover the distance. Then beat your time by 15 percent!. Get your friends and family to sponsor you and don’t forget to add your times directly to your fundraising page so your supporters can track your progress. 

CYCLE IT FOR CHANGE!

The legendary Tour de France is only 3500kms! How about you hop on an exercise bike at your local gym pick about Get your friends and family to sponsor you and don’t forget to add your manual fitness totals directly to your fundraising page so your supporters can track your progress. Set up your page on the Challenge4Change website and then challenge your mates to match your effort!

CHIN UPS FOR CHANGE!
