Take a pledge for World Mental Health Day

World Mental Health Day is a global opportunity to increase dialogue and build our collective understanding of mental health.

Destigmatizing the mental health conversation in the workplace is an act of commitment, and requires programs that are visible, accessible and multi-pronged. No single support system will address everyone’s needs. This dialogue is not for a select few experiencing challenges; everyone can do their part to mobilize efforts for the prevention, treatment, and care of mental wellbeing.?

In acknowledgment of World Mental Health Day, dentsu will be taking the day for wellness and mental rest. In addition, we’re pledging to continue the conversation and create and provide the best resources for our people.

The Dentsu Enablement BRG?+ Wellness Benefits

There are three affinity groups within our Enablement BRG: Wellness, Mental Health, and Disability Enablement. The Enablement BRG works to provide an accessible and safe environment for employees to share their needs, including providing biweekly Mental health and Wellness sessions and weekly Motivational Monday sessions.

The Mental Health Affinity Group within the Enablement BRG focuses on the training and support employees need to improve their mental health at work—specializing in educating the dentsu community through office events, guest speakers, newsletters and a comprehensive set of resources and programs.

In support of our Enablement BRGs we continue to build on critical benefits for our people’s mental health, including:

  • The Work/Life Assistance Program: a free, confidential benefit available to employees and family members that provides useful information, practical support, and professional counseling on a wide range of work, family, and personal issues.
  • Wellness Days: as part of our commitment to employee health, these are additional days off for our people to focus on themselves and take the day their way to switch off and properly disconnect.??
  • 24/7 access, at no cost, to certified mental health specialists.

Take the Pledge:

We fill so many roles in life such as caregivers, spouses, and employees, but in order to effectively thrive in those roles, we must care for ourselves. For World Mental Health Day, we pledge to continuously and collectively work to destigmatize mental health conversations. How will you support your mental health today, tomorrow, and the weeks to come?

Times have changed for the better, more people are speaking out about their mental health, sharing their own experiences and encouraging others to do the same. If you, or anyone you know, might be struggling with mental health, there are many services available, and a few are listed below.?

Please note dentsu Media is not affiliated with these services.

  • World Health Organization: Provided by the WHO - further information and resources on mental health and wellbeing.
  • United Nations Healthy Workforce: Free resources addressing mental health matters – a health workforce for a better world.
  • Suicide stop: A key resource center supporting on issues relating to suicide and self-harm.
  • Befrienders: A volunteer-led support group which provides further support.
