Highlights from our Chairman’s Club Awards
I’m so proud to be one of the founders of Palmetto Infusion , and sometimes, I just need to step back and appreciate how far we have come.
I can’t say enough about people like David Goodall , Connie C. Hartley, BSN , and Jeremy Bunch – who guide the Palmetto ship (and sometimes allow me to come along for the ride).
JB created the Chairman’s Club program in 2020 to recognize top performers across the company. It's our way of acknowledging team members who consistently raise the bar. As our Chief Sales and Marketing Officer, JB is always finding ways to encourage and motivate others. He’s the original “above and beyond” guy. This year, we held the Chairman’s Club Awards Ceremony on February 29th, so of course, the theme was “taking a leap.”
The Art of Impossible
I was asked to share a few words, so I based my presentation on Steven Kotler’s The Art of Impossible: A Peak Performance Primer. In his book, he writes about the importance of finding our "flow"— that state where we're so immersed in what we love that we lose track of time.
We often think achieving the impossible is only for extraordinary figures like Elon Musk or Einstein. But when we're young, we dream of becoming fascinating individuals ourselves. As we age, we can lose that sense of possibility and settle into the ordinary.
But we don't have to settle! Just because we're not Einstein doesn't mean the impossible is out of reach; we just have to slide into the flow zone.
As Kotler says, "Flow is how you turbo-boost results beyond reasonable expectations."?
I encouraged our teams to find that flow within themselves and not let worries about bills, failure, losing face, or pursuing material success hold them back from doing the impossible.?

My advice is to leap, even if you don't know where you'll land, with faith you'll be carried through.?
To be honest, I was in great company. Our award recipients are all incredible examples of what it means to go the extra mile. Congratulations to all the recipients, including our employee of the year, Marvie Collins .?
They are all a good example of what Steven Kotler writes about when he says, “Motivation is what gets you into this game; learning is what helps you continue to play; creativity is how you steer; and flow is how you turbo-boost the results beyond all rational standards and reasonable expectations.”
One Person’s Success is Everyone’s Success.
Finding ways to celebrate each other comes naturally at Palmetto, and it made me so proud to witness the amazing individuals being acknowledged for their hard work and service, along with the generous spirit of everyone in the room. What was evident is that we've cultivated a genuine culture of support and care at Palmetto Infusion. We also know how to have a lot of fun - just look at the pictures – everyone's having a great time!
I spoke for ten minutes and believe in giving credit where credit is due; Carrie Barnwell our Marketing Director, JB our Chief Sales and Marketing Officer, and Lisa Litt my Executive Assistant, did all the hard work to make the event a huge success. Well done!
Until next time,?
