Take a Chef Platform Updates

After listening to our community chefs, conducting interviews, and gathering insights, We're excited to share new features to improve our chef's experience on the Take a Chef platform.

Here are the first three game-changing upgrades:

  • Expansion of Types of Cuisine

To showcase our chef's diverse skills, we've expanded the available types of cuisine to 8 different ones for each location. The types of cuisine will vary depending on the destination and the options that our chefs have handpicked.

But here's the exciting part - we've added the "Local" option for the traditional cuisine of each destination!

  • Calendar Manager

We are introducing a Calendar Manager tool to simplify the calendar interface, giving a quick and easy overview of the reserved services and available dates. Now, our chefs can block days when they are unavailable, which will automatically prevent them from receiving requests on those dates.

  • Request Settings

The Request Settings feature allows our chefs to choose the types of requests they want to receive, ensuring they only get the requests that they are interested in curating. Among the different options that clients have when making a request, we can receive a total of 24 combinations of type of cuisine/price category (8 types of cuisine and 3 price categories).

Now the chef can indicate which of these combinations they’re interested in and which they're not. They will only receive requests that match the settings that they leave unblocked. In addition to this, the chef can also indicate for each one, whether he or she wants to receive requests of any group size or only for a certain number of people (2, 3-6, 7-12, and +13 pax).

This is only the beginning of a huge upgrade. Throughout the year, we will continue making changes and innovations to make the user experience and general interaction easier for our chefs and our guests.
