The Take Charge Program is as follows: 59.00 per month flat fee, with unlimited transactions whether you do 20 or 20,000, enables you to budget every month what you will spend on accepting credit cards, basically lowers the cost of doing business greatly every month.
No long term contract to be locked into, can cancel anytime and we will set you up with traditional processing with a lower rate than you had before if you want to go back to paying those hard earned profits to your bank for accepting credit cards.
This is a discount for cash program that enables the merchant to not pay the heavy burden of all those rewards cards out there when there customers use a credit card, most every credit card out there is some kind of a rewards card, cash back card, corporate card and airline miles card, the merchant is on the hook for about 3% for accepting these cards. So the customer that comes in and pays cash is paying the same amount as the customer that is making the merchant pay the 3% to accept there credit card, so this program rewards the cash paying customer and the credit card user pays a 3.5% non cash adjustment- they do not qualify for the "cash discount" that is built into the goods and services.
This program meets all necessary criteria to be fully compliant within the confines of the law- it is mandated by federal law-The Frank-Dodd Act/ Durbin Debit Amendment.
The Take Charge Program is not a fee on the credit card user, it is a incentive for a cash discount when a customer pays with cash, it is also a way to bring more cash flow into the merchants bottom line. It is basically leveling the playing field after the banks unleashed all those rewards cards.
If you take 59.00 times 12 months you get 708.00 for the year to accept credit cards, we supply the first terminal, and the 2nd in alot of cases, otherwise the 2nd is a one time payment of 200.00 and is already programmed and the merchant owns it.
Value of a customer example:
total credit/debit card volume in a month times 3.5% equals savings per month minus the 59.00 times 12 months gives you the yearly savings. For example: 50,000 x 3.5% = 1750 minus 59.00 flat fee = 1691 x 12 months = 20,292 annual savings. Now take the average ticket amount that a customer spends, we will use for example 75.00 dollars, take the annual savings- 20,292 divided by 75 dollars= 270, this is the amount of customers a merchant would have to lose in a month to make the Take Charge Program not beneficial to them, and if you are a merchant that is open everyday, say 31 days in the month, take the 270 and divide it by 31 and you get 8.7- you would have to lose almost 9 customers a day to not benefit from this program.
The bottom line is that as a merchant you are already charging ALL your customers 3.5%, it is built into your goods and services already for your overhead, rent, electric,credit card processing, labor ect. This program is just cutting the cost of accepting credit cards, it is literally saving merchants on average over 3500 per year.
