Do you believe in coincidence or, indeed, luck?
I'm not one for that.
There's a common underlying theme.
This week, stuff has happened. To me it shows that coincidence and luck are made by being consistent and putting in the hard yards.
Eventually, things slowly start to fall into place, but there will always be bumps in the road.
‘Nothing is certain except death and taxes’ - Benjamin Franklin, 1789
Hopefully, you get the idea without being too morbid.
What's important is putting everything into context in the wider scheme of things and taking the time to stop and think.

Various things have happened, mostly positives sprinkled with delivering disappointment.
So, let's start with those sprinkles first before getting giddy with the good news. After all, where's the value or a realistic view of posting only humble brags? Some planned work to support member activity has been delayed and out of our control. This doesn't help and causes further frustration, but the messaging still needs to be delivered. Pause. Take a breath. Action. Understanding a clear timeline and dependencies is the message that will offer value. The important thing is the update. Go.

Parallel to this and on the opposite side of the coin is a relationship that has developed to the point of hopefully gaining a new member. It hasn't happened overnight, and it hasn't just involved me. It has taken time to show the value and build trust. We are almost there. But that's only the start of the journey, and we are already merging future roadmaps. The hard work is yet to come. Don't get hysterical. One step at a time. Think of the bigger picture.

The idea behind this blog was me acting as a reference for a friend seeking their next adventure in transport via an agency. The call with the agency went well. We discussed relationships built on trust, integrity, and collaboration with no hidden agendas. It got me thinking about the art of the possible if people are on the same page, moving in the same direction, and with the same goal.
I guess the point of all this is the value brought by just taking a moment to stop, pause, and think, getting out of the weeds. Whether it's before getting giddy about some exciting news or deferring that conversation, you can't move forward standing still.
At the end of the day, it's important to show up—not get wrapped up in overthinking or hysteria.

The brew still stands, as always, and cakes are even mentioned now! It really isn't about revenue generation but adding tangible value.
Have a great weekend, everyone, hopefully with even some Vitamin D ??
