TAKE A BREAK AND RELAX!

People often don't take 'time off from work' because they feel that they're not dedicated to their work if they do so. After all, it shows them as someone who is 'lazy' or 'unproductive.' This is known as the 'presenteeism' effect. Presenteeism makes you feel guilty for taking time off from work, which can be detrimental to your health and productivity. So here are some ways to take a break from work and relax.?

Work is life, and sometimes, we hate that, but it doesn't mean we have to neglect our health. We can still take a break from work even if we find it hard to be away from emails and the virtual workplace. A moment of relaxation occasionally gives us time to collect our thoughts, consider our priorities and provide room to focus on other things outside work.?

There is no one-size-fits-all approach to taking a break from work.??

If you're the type who enjoys being busy, you may need to schedule your breaks in advance, so you don't get lost in the hustle and bustle of life. Make sure you stick to your schedule, even if it means putting things on hold for a moment to take care of yourself first.?

For those who need something more spontaneous and flexible, try to find ways to relax throughout the day by taking walks, meditating, or even just sitting quietly and breathing deeply. You'll be amazed at how much better you feel after just a few minutes!?

Whatever the case, take some time and think about how you can create a break that works for YOU.?

A little break can go a long way.??

You know those days when you just feel like the world is on your shoulders? It's a perfect time to take a break from work, but it can be hard to find the time. This article will show you how to take a break from work and relax.?

First, set aside some time for yourself. You might need to schedule it into your calendar or set the alarm on your phone, so you don't forget! Next, find somewhere quiet where you can relax for 10 minutes without interruption. This is ideal if you have an office with a door because you won't be disturbed by coworkers or clients who want something from you. Finally, ensure that your phone is turned off and out of sight, so you don't get tempted to check it while trying to relax!?

?Planning is just as important as taking a break itself.??

When planning your break, you should keep two main things in mind: the length of your break and the activities you'll be doing during the said break.?

First, let's talk about length! Because we're all about making sure you get the most out of your time off, we recommend that you take at least 10 minutes for every hour worked (so if you work 8 hours a day, you should take at least 80 minutes each day).?

The second thing to consider is what activities to do during this time. The best way to plan this is by asking yourself: "What would I like to do?" And then do it!?

If you have trouble getting motivated or finding something interesting to do when taking breaks, I suggest starting with light exercises like walking or yoga. You could also try meditating or reading a book—whatever works best for YOU!?

The best breaks are the ones you spend away from your work and home routine.?

When the same people constantly surround you and places and do the same things repeatedly, it's easy to lose sight of what matters: living a balanced life. And when your day-to-day life becomes unbalanced, so does your health—and that's when burnout starts to creep in.?

So, what can you do? The first step is figuring out what kind of person you are (self-aware!). Are you someone who needs to be constantly stimulated by new experiences? Or are you someone who likes routine? The answer will help you decide where to go for your break—a weekend getaway or just a few hours spent hanging out with friends at their favorite coffee shop.?

You might also want to think about how much time off is appropriate for your job—if it's something like an hourly job where there's no real "weekend" separation from work, then maybe taking half an hour after work every other day would be enough for now. But if your job is more flexible, taking longer breaks might be more beneficial.?

Taking breaks is good for your brain and body. Make time to do it regularly.

The fact is that you need breaks, and your work will benefit from them. So don't feel guilty about taking them—and don't just take them; make sure you're enjoying them. Whether you do it once or several times a day, get away from your computer, clear your head, and give your senses a break. Doing so will help refresh you, which should help you return to your work feeling more focused and determined.?

Do you take breaks??

I take breaks and use the time to replenish myself as well as my plants in my yard by watering. This 100% heat is a killer on them and me too.
