Hello Purposeekers!
I hope this newsletter finds you all well and that you have been making progress on your career and life goals. As you may know, I am currently on holiday in the Maldives, taking a much-needed break from my busy schedule and focusing on relaxation and rejuvenation.
As someone who runs a life and career coaching program focused on helping people find their purpose and their true career path, I know first-hand how important it is to take a break from time to time. We all lead busy lives, with constant demands on our time and attention. It can be easy to get caught up in the day-to-day hustle and forget to take a step back and reflect on what truly
matters to us.
That's why I have taken this opportunity to disconnect from work and spend some time focusing on myself. I am using this time to relax, empty my mind, and get inspired for future collaborations and methods for my Purposeek Coaching coaching program. By taking this break, I am able to avoid burnout and reinvent myself as a coach and mentor.
I believe that balancing the search for career meaning with relaxation is key to achieving long-term success and fulfilment. It's important to remember your "why" and to take care of yourself, both mentally and physically.
Whether it's taking a holiday like I am doing, practicing mindfulness, or pursuing a hobby, finding ways to relax and recharge is critical to maintaining a healthy work-life balance.
As we dive into the topic of how purpose and relaxation can be ultimate BFFs, I wanted to share some thoughts about my experience here in the Maldives. This trip is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity that my husband and I have been saving for for some time. We are grateful for the chance to experience this beautiful place and take a break from our busy lives.
At the same time, I am conscious that not everyone has the budget or opportunity to take a break in the Maldives. And that's okay! What matters is that we all find ways to incorporate the things we love into our daily or weekly routines, whether it's taking a walk in nature, practicing a hobby, or listening to a podcast. The key is to prioritize self-care and relaxation in whatever way works best for you. It doesn't have to be a grand vacation in a luxurious location like the Maldives. It can be as simple as taking a bath or reading a book.
Let me share with you an example of how I incorporate self-care and relaxation into my regular routine. One of the things I love to do is go for a walk at the beach with my sister. It's a simple activity, but it brings me so much joy and helps me clear my mind.
Another way I take care of myself is by praying to thank God for my life blessings and the challenges that make me grow. It helps me stay grounded and grateful for everything that I have, even during difficult times.
And, of course, I also love to indulge in some cake from time to time (in moderation, of course!). It's a small pleasure that brings me happiness and reminds me to enjoy the simple things in life.
I share these examples with you to emphasize that self-care and relaxation don't have to be expensive or time-consuming. They can be simple activities that bring you joy and help you recharge. The key is to find what works for you and make it a regular part of your routine.
Coming back to the notion of purpose, it's important to remember that finding our true calling is not just about achieving specific outcomes or milestones, it's also about taking care of ourselves along the way.
Purpose gives our lives direction and meaning, while relaxation allows us to recharge our batteries and approach our goals with renewed energy and focus. When we combine purpose and relaxation, we create a powerful synergy that allows us to achieve our goals while maintaining a healthy work-life balance.
Without purpose, relaxation can feel empty and unfulfilling. We need a sense of purpose to give our lives direction and motivate us to achieve our goals. On the other hand, without relaxation, purpose can become overwhelming and exhausting. We need to take breaks and recharge our batteries to avoid burnout and stay inspired.
When we combine purpose and relaxation, we create a harmonious balance that allows us to pursue our goals with clarity, focus, and purpose, while also taking care of ourselves along the way. By making purpose and relaxation our ultimate BFFs, we can achieve long-term success and fulfilment while enjoying the journey along the way and we can show up as our best selves and make a positive impact on the world.
Thank you for subscribing to the "Purpose with Myriem" newsletter, and I look forward to continuing to support you in your journey towards finding your purpose and true career path.
