Highlights from IDDBA 2024

The International Dairy Deli Bakery Association's (IDDBA) annual trade show recently wrapped up in Houston, TX. It brought together thousands of attendees from across the dairy, deli, bakery, and foodservice industries. Our team was on hand, connecting with customers and future customers on ways we can partner with them to help deliver exceptional dining experiences.

According to our team onsite, several trends emerged at IDDBA 2024:

  • Donuts, Donuts Everywhere: These delicious delights were one of the most prominent food trends at the show. Whether they were traditional, specialty, or decorated, the industry is in its donut era.
  • Sustainability: It's no surprise to us that sustainability was one of the hottest topics across the show. Whether it's implementing an eco-friendly food packaging strategy or ways to optimize operations, it was clear that reducing environmental impact is a big focus for all.
  • What's in Store Live: This experience was an excellent opportunity for attendees to check out the latest products and packaging brought to life. We were excited to see our Twist & Crispy? containers and EcoEdge? Paper Cutlery on full display.
  • IDDBA's Guiding Trends Report: In addition to the experience, IDDBA released its "What's in Store" report, which examines the influence of food on the dairy, deli, and bakery channels. Examples include how companies should factor in cultural and generational differences to appeal to a broad and varied audience and the increased need for quick and affordable meals.
