Emotional wellbeing and impacting others welfare and wellbeing via movement, CIMPLAY, FYS has been top priority for me for a good while now. We are loosing too many people and we have the power (on an individual and collective basis) to prevent these losses.
In this day and age where our nervous systems are getting shot down due to the turbulent political and environmental climate that we face, to our imploding usage of social media ("I am getting off facebook now- promise"! ***goes to check instagram, twitter, whatsapp and then back to facebook***); and the effects that this has on our state of play in our minds ,never mind the vibrations these devices are emitting on a physical level. More and more our lifestyle, environment (5G really?!), habits, and stresses are affecting our human systems massively. We are yet to see what the repercussions are for our cognitive functioning and emotional welfare that all his digital use age will have on us..
I am inclined to go minimalist and strip back to the real essence and meaning of life which for me is self care, connection, looking out for others and keeping the body and mind moving and mobilised for optimum functioning.
Some incredible partnerships are coming up. Something I have been on the grind with for years and years to steer FYS towards aligning with the most well suited organisations, and who sincerely have emotional wellbeing at the core of their vision and place emphasis on the values of connection to self and care for others.
The penny has dropped over here. City is my Playground and FYS basically were created out my own inner turmoil.
For a long long time emotional wellbeing in motion has really been the crux of preserving my own mental health (something that I have had massive challenges with for many many years), and what I am most interested and motivated by own personal experience, in moving forward is helping, supporting and empowering others towards their finest states of being using movement as the primary tool.
We live in very interesting times. I am excited on behalf of the many other collectives, individuals, companies who are additionally getting on board with this and doing great great work. The artists, the makers, the teachers, the friends, the families, the DOERS. The people. I see you.
Let's go. The work has just begun. You.Me.We
