This post was really popular last week so we wanted to share it here just in case you missed it
Not all burnout is work-related, here's why:
Burnout is defined as
"Excessive exposure to long-term stress"
So how about
All of these expose you to "excessive long-term" stress
But are not seen as factors for burnout
Here is my opinion on this (taken from working within this space for 10 years)
Burnout happens when
You don't spend enough time doing the things you love WITH the people you love
You lose
?? Who you are
?? What you stand for
?? The connections that you love
And you become a shell of who you used to be
I am working with people right now whose main cause of burnout is all the above things
NOT just work-related
