Founded in 2018 by PhD entrepreneurs Dr. Yaser Maddahi and Dr. Ali Maddahi, Tactile Robotics innovates technological solutions to reduce inefficiencies in healthcare delivery and training. The Maddahi brothers’ time and efforts have led to the development of several innovative biomedical products including DenTeach?, DT-Rightway? dental articulator, DT-PrepScanner?, iManus?, CageView?, and iMotus?. Many of their products have been tested and endorsed by top Canadian scientists and partners across Canada while securing the IP through international, Canadian and US patents.
The next step, CEO Dr. Yaser Maddahi said in an interview, is?to boost their North American and international business presence while strengthening their supply chain management, product growth, and sales and marketing efforts.
So far, the company?has been backed by research funding organizations including the National Research Council of Canada Industrial Research Assistance Program (NRC-IRAP), Mitacs, and the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC) and has received many more grants from the Government of Canada and the Government of Manitoba.

When Tactile Robotics launches its products more widely in 2023,?the launch spec will include all the main elements of Industry 4.0.
“Today, we are opening our first seed investment round under the Small Business Venture Capital Tax Credit (SBVCTC) program. This investment will help us achieve a revenue of $120M over the next four years. The money raised in this round will be used primarily to boost our North American and international business presence while strengthening our supply chain management, product growth, and sales and marketing efforts,” says Director of Sales Tracey Thiessen.
Manitoban corporations and individuals investing in Tactile Robotics are eligible for a 45% tax credit under the Manitoba Small Business Venture Tax Credit program. The minimum amount to be able to participate in this round starts at $50K with a cap of $500K. As an example, the most common amount Tactile Robotics receives is $200K, which, under this tax credit program, translates to a refund of $90K, claimable immediately in your subsequent tax filing.
