Hello again. It’s been a busy few weeks at the Body Fix Coach. With taking a much needed week off. I got a little behind on newsletters. But, here we are.
In today’s LinkedIn newsletter, I want to talk about our most recent project. There is such a huge increasing number of people suffering with musculoskeletal disorders.
In today’s fast-paced work environment, the health and well-being of employees are more critical than ever. One of the most common health concerns affecting employees is musculoskeletal issues, which can significantly impact productivity and increase time off work.
Forward-thinking companies are now taking proactive steps to address these concerns, creating healthier workplaces and reducing absenteeism.
The Impact of Musculoskeletal Issues
Musculoskeletal disorders encompass a range of conditions that affect the muscles, bones, and joints. These issues are often caused by repetitive strain, poor posture, and inadequate ergonomic setups.
According to the World Health Organisation, MSK disorders are the leading cause of disability worldwide, significantly impacting the workforce and leading to lost productivity and increased healthcare costs.
Last year’s figures through the ONS reported over 470,000 reported MSK disorders.
A Proactive Approach to Employee Health
Companies that prioritise the health and well-being of their employees are seeing the benefits of taking a proactive approach to managing musculoskeletal health.
This involves implementing preventive measures, such as ergonomic assessments, providing resources for physical activity, and promoting overall wellness.
The Role of Preventive Workshops
One effective strategy is to offer workshops focused on preventing and managing musculoskeletal issues. These workshops educate employees on proper posture, safe lifting techniques, and exercises that can help prevent injuries.
By empowering employees with the knowledge and tools they need, companies can create a healthier work environment and reduce the incidence of MSK disorders.

Our Findings From Previous Workshops.
Since June we have ran two workshops. In these workshops, we asked the employees if they were experiencing any pain currently. Every single one said they had some type of pain problem.
This means they are not reported as of yet. But, they could worsen over time and cost the companies thousands of pounds in the long run.
