#TabletTuesday ; FI Europe.

Hi everyone, it's been a minute since I shared a #TabletTuesday update, but I couldn't resist after an amazing experience at Food ingredients Europe !

As a first-timer at the conference, I learned some valuable lessons - like strategically booking meetings based on booths and halls. I ended up clocking over 20,000 steps every day, and by Friday, I was ready for an Aperol.

One standout booth for me was Brenntag . I had the pleasure of chatting with Markus Kammerer about their sustainable products and got a sneak peek into their 2024 vision. Personally, I'm super excited about what the future holds for Brenntag.

#Brenntag's presentation on clear and transparent labels caught my attention, and I may or may not have indulged in multiple chunks of their delicious gluten-free brownie. A perfect energy boost for day one!

With hectic days and numerous meetings, it's evident from a recruitment perspective that there's a significant demand for EU sales managers in the industry.

On the Wednesday I spoke with Dr. Sybille Buchwald-Werner and Lynda Doyle MBA, MS Human Nutrition at the Sustainability Hub on a topic I'm really passionate about - Recruiting, managing & retaining women in the workplace.

Some crucial points that were discussed (which I find particularly noteworthy) include:

1. Dr. Sybille Buchwald-Werner shared her plan to implement a maternity/paternity leave mentorship program. The goal is to keep employees on leave updated on workload and company changes, ensuring they don't feel disconnected during their absence. I find this initiative truly fantastic.
2. Lynda Doyle MBA, MS Human Nutrition emphasized the importance of honest salary transparency. Drawing from her personal experience, she highlighted that equal pay remains a significant concern, making transparency crucial.
3. I brought up the importance of aligning reasonable adjustments and establishing set travel days when assisting companies with their recruitment processes. This approach ensures that candidates with families have the flexibility to consider various opportunities.

I also came away with lots of products to try - above is just from the first day!

Among the sampled products, my standout favourite was the Nutrilo USA Purafit supplement. Designed to be consumed without water, it's packed with Magnesium, Vitamin C, and Vitamin B12. Personally, the experience and taste took me back to childhood memories of sherbet—undeniably sweet.

To wrap up an incredible week, I explored the Christmas Markets—a must-visit for anyone in Frankfurt during this festive season!
