?????? ?? ???????????????? ?????? ???????????? ???????????? ???? ?? ??????????????

There was this 2017 study of senior managers, by the Harvard Business Review about, drumroll…. meetings. I shared it yesterday as well. Here’s what it found:

?? 65% said meetings kept them from completing their own work,

?? 71% said meetings were unproductive and inefficient,

?? 64% said meetings came at the expense of deep thinking and,

?? 62% said meetings missed opportunities to bring the team closer together.

Please allow me to kindly reiterate what I said in ??????????????????’?? ??-???????????? ?????????????????? titled, "8 Questions to ask to determine if you hold great meetings at work." I'll put it below so you can easily access it.

?? Every manager has led a bad meeting, including me and you. And most of us continue to torture our colleagues with unproductive and inefficient meetings, usually, while being blissfully unaware.

?? Please don’t be one of those people whose colleagues groan when they receive a meeting invite from you. Self-assess on the quiz from yesterday’s 5-minute audiogram.

In yesterday's quiz, we had ?? ?????????????????? that you would use to determine whether you lead GREAT, productive and efficient meetings. All based on quiz from the book, the Advantage, by Patrick Lencioni. Allow me to continue forwarding his thoughts.

The thing is, most managers do, and it creates confusion and frustration on your team. What’s worse is that doing this creates a roadblock to YOUR success as a manager and your team’s ability to SMASH your goals.

So then what kind of meetings should you be holding regularly as a manager? There are 4.

 ?? ?????????? ???? ???????????????? ?????? ???????????? ???? ?????????????? ?????? ????????:

1?? ?????????????? ?? – ?????? ?????????? ??????????-???? ?????????????? – 5-10 minutes in length. An administrative meeting where you share and discuss the day’s activities and schedules with your team. You’d be surprised how drives your team’s focus and productivity.

2?? ?????????????? ?? - ?? ???????????? ???????????????? ?????????????? – 45-90 minutes in length. A tactical meeting where you review the week’s activities, metrics, and resolve any tactical issues that are keeping your team from completing projects or goals. Can be a 1:1.

3?? ?????????????? ?? - ?? ?????????????? ?????????????????? ?????????????? –2-4 hours in length – A strategic meeting where you discuss, analyze, brainstorm and decide upon critical issues affecting your team’s long-term success. Limit to 1 or two topics and allow for good intellectual debate with your team.

4?? ?????????????? ?? - ?? ?????????????????? ???????????? – Focus this meeting on creating organizational clarity to answer the question, "how will our work farther company objectives?" Refer to the video from Tuesday on what organizational clarity is.

 -------------

Once you implement this and stay disciplined with the meeting types and when, you will start to see your team not only participating in your meetings, but you will also begin to note an increase in your team’s productivity and results. ?????? ???????????? ??????????!!

Drop your thoughts if you enjoyed this.
