Publisher's Note
Good Morning!
The NCAA Annual Convention kicks off tomorrow. It is our understanding that the D1 Council will be voting on a proposal to begin compensating athletes as early as this Fall 2024. Irrespective of whether the NCAA adopts an athlete compensation plan this week, we believe this is the year that college athletes will begin receiving a more fair share of the billions of dollars generated by college sports. Court cases, NLRB, public pressure, market forces, and NCAA self-interest are all driving forces towards the inevitable.
We asked college athletes their views on NIL & Revenue Share issues. Here are the snapshot results. Please share with the college athletes and other college sports stakeholders in your life.
best,
Chase Griffin

1 年Good insight. It’s surprising to see polled athletes reporting a low luxury spend with NIL dollars, but the highest spend being living expenses feels consistent with other economic factors. Thanks for sharing.
