Finding genuine guidance that directly addresses your personal concerns is crucial when exploring new career opportunities. I was fortunate to discover the TAAB mentorship program just in time when I was transitioning to a new field after a family leave. The TAAB mentorship program provided a structured format to approach seasoned professionals who were willing to share their experience and wisdom.

I was paired with a wonderful mentor, Hsiao-Ling, who not only supported me with my professional questions but also guided me through the process of mindset adjustment. Our one-on-one meetings allowed me to ask specific questions about the functional area I was interested in, and I received practical advice from an experienced professional.

Additionally, the program offered group meetings where I could ask general questions and learn from other mentors’ and mentees' experiences. For example, I was able to ask about strategies for overcoming anxiety when giving public speeches and received valuable feedback from the group.

In addition to the professional mentorship, I also attended Lauren Supraner's English coaching group. I learned how my intonation could change depending on whether I was relaxed or nervous, and by making small adjustments to my voice, I could make a big difference in how my speech was perceived.

The program gave me the confidence and tools I needed to hit the ground running in my new career.
