WHY DOES EUROPE ALLOW THIS CORRUPTION

Alan, your heading on the editorial on Sunday 9 th October, RE the Shane Ross interview, that “Transparency in RTE was found wanting” - was just a smokescreen and an opportunity for your paper to proclaim how democratic you are and how much you believe in ‘PRESS FREEDOM’? Which you obviously do - just as long as the views expressed dove-tail with your own and those of the very Wealthy? Seeing you believe so much in Press Freedom, Alan, why will your newspaper not report that ITGWU - that morphed into SIPTU - and was once the most famous trade union in the World - was corrupted 50 years ago? As you well know this Trade Union Ledby James Connolly, fought as the Citizens Army in the GPO and helped to free Ireland from English Oppression. Unfortunately 50 years ago this Union became corrupted by the Wealthy. This manifested itself and was tried out at Belfast Docks.

I don’t use the word ‘Corruption’ lightly - but there can be no other word for what took place. The union betrayed the beliefs of James Connolly and Jim Larkin by joining forces with the employers and forming a Union and Employers Court that was named officially named “The Joint Disciplinary Committee” This was used for sacking union members, {like myself} who wouldn’t discharge Asbestos without protection. Although this was never on the charge sheet- it was absenteeism or some other nonsense. As you well know these Alan facts are well documented. They even had the audacity to put the name of the Court on their summons letters. The website site contains numerous documentary examples of Employer and Trade Union Corruption, including the above, and is ignored by all and sundry in Ireland. So well documented in fact that Norman Shannon, a Belfast and high-flying Human Rights Solicitor sat on my case for seven years until it became Statute Barred. Obviously, he was bought off -as was the Dublin Solicitor Michael Farrell who covers up for him. Alan this corrupt scandal is well known by both Law Societies on both sides of the Border but they will do nothing about it. Money talks. Because of the magnitude of this cover up and the documentary evidence on the web - which in a truly democratic society would entail that the highest members of the so-called Legal Profession and supposed the Free Press, being questioned under Oath. These people have imposed upon them- selves a ‘D’ notice, so not to embarrass the extremely Wealthy who control the Trade Unions in Ireland.

The Irish Congress of Trade Unions were well aware of this betrayal of Connolly and Larkin’s Union. However - and this could be why they still cover it up? The documentation on the website shows that they were well aware of the Belfast Union/Employer corruption as it was taking place and did nothing about it. Although in my memoir I suggest another reason? That they were also bought off

Obviously, Shane Ross is a party to the cover up. He had the opportunity to divulge some information to a lady writer - who wrote a book about financial corruption in Ireland and did not do so - to protect himself. I have detailed Ross’s omissions in my book which also contains details of the avoidance of the truth by ex-high court president, Peter Kelly - plus a multitude of the finest legal minds in the country. This happened at a legal conference in 2010 to discuss changes to the defamation laws. Judge Kelly was chairing the Q&A session and he allowed me five minutes to state my case. My first words were “I tried to get myself sued for defamation for telling the truth”. To cut a long story short as its recorded elsewhere -Judge Kelly and the finest legal minds in the country did nothing about the corruption I related to them. I don’t know if Judge Frank Clarke was present at this conference, but it was many years before Judge Kelly’s and his attempted sojourn into the Desert - from which they both had to resign. And while on the subject, Judge Frank Clarke is still on the Law Reform Commission. Does this mean that because he was prepared to work for a regime that has no human rights and supports the be-heading and stoning to death of its citizens - that we can expect some harsher sentences in Irish Courts?

Of course, I jest. However, I find it remarkable that the free press were able to heap such vitriol upon two ‘respectable judges’ that they felt had to resign from the appointed positions. How they felt entitled to take them up in the first place, because of Dubai’s human rights record beggars' belief. This really shows the principles and grounding that their privileged upbringing and private schools empowers them with. That said - why have the Free Press not rounded on High Court president David Barniville who defended them? No wonder he is regarded with much affection by his peers. He was appalled at the horrible treatment meted out to Peter Kelly and Frank Clarke in the papers - while claiming that being appointed to Dubai’s Financial Court was a great tribute -and stated that the esteemed Judges were private citizens? I wonder could I apply? The president of the high court said a lot more in their defence - about human rights in Dubai and that what happened to them was frankly disgusting. No wonder the Honourable Legal Profession in Ireland refuse to take action - on the besmirching of Connolly and Larkin?

In the past I’ve emailed details of Union Scandal to Dee Forbes - RTE investigates and many, many human rights bodies but to no avail, no-one wants to know about it. Alan, if you or your minions doubt what I say, the details can be accessed on the website - linkedin, facebook and twitter - so you can’t hide behind the defamation facade? My Memoir exposes many of the injustices that prevail in Ireland - from the murders of children that accompanied the founding of the Northern Ireland State to the contempt for Irish Citizens that led to the present-day homeless atrocity. Alan, if you wish to interview me, I will gladly give you ‘chapter and verse’ details of the censoring of my playwriting. My first staged play ‘JUSTICE’ was in the Belfast and Dublin Theatre Festivals ind 1992 - plus a week at the Tron in Glasgow. However, when I wrote ‘One Big Onion’ renamed ‘The Judas Goat’ the unbelievable censoring of my writing set in. This play shows the corruption of the Union Chair- man {The Judas Goat} and the committee at Belfast Docks. At the time I thought it was just their own dictatorial dictatorship, akin to 'putting a beggar on horseback', however in the years since I have learned better, and?that their actions - not only had the full approval of the head office in Dublin but were actually instigated by them. The Belfast Union Committee were actually carrying out the orders of head office in Dublin. This is proven by their subsequent non -action over the years.

While the betrayal of Connolly and Larkin was diabolical the fact that Belfast Dockers were ordered to discharge Asbestos to save the employers money and didn’t care that this deadly dust was blown all over Belfast was not only criminal but was murderous. UTV’s Insight Program broadcast ‘Death Trap on the Docks. contained interviews with dying dockers and the widows of the already dead, and they tell how much help they got from the Union. NONE. The three Browne brothers contracted Asbestosis - and two have died from it. Billy, and one brother’s widow give harrowing testimonies about how their brother and husband who died. Notable is the support, or rather the lack of it that they got from the Union. Watch the video Alan and like all the lawyers and human rights people in Ireland hide behind the smokescreen of Silence. In her excellent book, WHISTLEBLOWING TOWARDS A NEW THEORY, Author Kate Kenny acknowledged John Devitt of Transparency International as one of her sources for meeting Whistle-blowers. If Davitt had a fraction of the principles that Transparency International believes he has - he would’ve told her about the Union at Belfast Docks that sacked its own members and ordered them to their deaths. While she was in shock, he could’ve shown her the documentation form the Union and Employers Court, to convince her - and my attempts to bring this to the Public's attention? My account of?the conference at which I informed Devitt of the Docks Corruption?is in my book. However, while Davitt, was not able to stop Kate Kenny’s book from being published he was able to control what went into it. These facts I relate are without doubt and if ever disclosed will show that the ‘Left’ in the persona of Davitt, O'Toole and many others, can be corrupted as well as the extremely rich.

In her book, Kenny credits Shane Ross, who is an ex-stockbroker and ex TD who was a Senator at the time of his disclosures. I don’t know if she interviewed Ross, or if the incident was just related to her - with his approval. However, she writes that Ross brought attention to the case of a whistle-blower who was being snubbed - and raised the matter in the Irish Senate. He got much needed publicity for the case which was even reported in the Irish Times. This was all well and good and proper. However, either Kate Kenny’s sources or Ross himself were ‘very’ economical with the truth? Or… maybe they just ‘forgot’ about another fascinating story regarding Shane Ross.?This also took place in the Senate and was “very worthy” of inclusion in Kate Kenny’s book. What transpired was: Shane Ross,?filled with righteous indignation trumpeted on the floor of the Senate?that millions of Euros were being siphoned off from training schemes for the unskilled, into secret SIPTU bank accounts.?This was absolutely true - and in his true bombastic fashion he?Ross trumpeted in the Senate that this was "A SLUSH FUND".

A media frenzy descended upon this controversy and SIPTU leaders denied any knowledge of these bank accounts. This focused attention onto the named holders of the secret accounts, and when their names were disclosed, they refused to attend the Public Accounts Committee to be questioned on the matter. Why was this not included in Kate Kenny’s book? Obviously, John Davitt nor Shane Ross informed Kate Kenny about this Slush Fund? An interesting point is the missing millions were used to pay for drink fuelled junkets to New York for St Patrick’s Day - and other holidays for those in the know. The beneficiaries of this largesse were both employers and trade union officials? In any other situation, the Wealthy and their tame press would’ve been calling for full exposure of the Slush Fund and a police investigation, and that the culprits were jailed. That this didn't happen proves that the Wealthy were up to their necks in it.

There never was an investigation and the matter fizzled out. Why? This was taxpayers' money that was being used to bribe both low-level employers and union officials and nothing was done about it. No doubt Kate Kenny will be disgusted that she was kept in the dark about these corruptions, as no doubt they’d have been included in her book. But will Kate Kenny challenge the ‘champions of Democracy’ Ross and David over their deceit? While Kenny’s sources can brush the Belfast Docks scandal aside by claiming that ‘it was not related to Finance’, this hardly applies to Shane Ross’s exposure of Slush Funds. Plus, the ignoring of the Public Accounts Committee by the men in whose names the secret accounts were held, was also not mentioned in Kenny’s Book. Why were they allowed to thumb their noses at this powerful committee? Why were they not arrested and held in contempt until they told who bribed them? Don’t get me wrong - I don’t want to see ordinary people arrested - but these ‘Cat’s Paws’ knew who was paying the “Bribes” and after a few nights in the cells they’d have told all. This was a chance to follow the money trail back to the Wealthy.

While the misappropriated money siphoned off from training schemes for the unskilled was a dastardly act - for it to involve the trade union founded by Connolly and Larkin is beyond belief. The fact that the Wealthy were not calling for the heads of those involved, proves they were involved. What better way to control trade union leaders than to blackmail them with the fact - that they were robbing the unemployed in such a cowardly?fashion. This scandal and the even worse one, that Belfast Dockers being ordered to discharge Asbestos without protection to save the Employers Money was and still is - ignored? Plus, the fact that the Asbestos was blown all over Belfast. God only knows how many people it has killed.

Had Kate Kenny known of these corruptions and included them in her book - it would have been a bestseller? Actually - now that she does know - will she admonish these deniers of the Truth and reissue her book to include these facts?? Highlighting of course the so-called champions of Democracy who?covered up the cover ups? No doubt Kenny knew nothing about the whistle blowers conference at Boswell’s Hotel at which I questioned Davitt and Fintan O’Toole - and another, held two days later in the College of Surgeons. The second one had Judge Peter Kelly chairing the Q&A session. Geraldine Kennedy was still Irish Times Editor at?the time and on the panel. Her cover up beggars' belief. She proved all I maintain about the Irish Times and the Wealthy.? This conference - paradoxically, was to discuss the changes to the Defamation Laws.

However, now that you know about the?corruption that plagues Ireland - will you - just like Fintan O’Toole?and all the other cherry-picking Lapdogs and so-called Champions?of Democracy - still refuse to print the Truth? Obviously, this will upset the Very Wealthy - but aren't you a freedom loving Journalist??
