Asia-Pacific Superyacht Summit 2024: Dates and location announced
The inaugural Asia-Pacific Superyacht Summit is scheduled for 5 and 6 June 2024 in Hong Kong. The summit will take place at the Renaissance Harbour View Hotel and aims to develop the Asia-Pacific superyacht market and to attract more yachts to the region.
“In the past few years, there has been a declining interest from the superyacht industry in the Asian market,” commented Merijn de Waard, Founder & Director of SuperYacht Times. “With the market slowing down globally, the superyacht industry needs to look further again and there is still a tremendous opportunity in Asia with more than 950 billionaires, according to Forbes.”
SuperYacht Times also successfully organises the Gulf Superyacht Summit in the Middle East, and the two events will complement each other by helping to increase the presence of yachts heading eastwards.

SYT iQ Insight: 63% increase in 60m+ used superyacht sales in 2023
According to SYT iQ, there was a notable 63% increase in the total number of sales of 60-metre plus superyachts in 2023 to a total of 39, compared to 24 in 2022. This marks the highest point in the past six years. SYT iQ Insight: Superyacht deliveries grow by 20% and pass the 200 mark
Data from SYT iQ reveals an approximate 20% growth in 30-metre plus yachts delivered in 2023, rising from 170 in 2022 to 201 in 2023. This surpasses the forecast of 190 deliveries stated in the State of Yachting 2023 and represents a 35% increase from the 150 yachts delivered in 2018.

With an impressive last known asking price of 42,500,000 Euros, the 66-metre Oceanco superyacht Luna B was sold with Matt Albert of Superyacht Partners introducing the buyer and Vesa Kaukonen of Large Yacht Corp representing the seller. The yacht has now been renamed?AHS.
The motor yacht features interior design crafted by Alberto Pinto and exterior and naval architecture stemmed from the drawing boards of her Netherlands-based builder Oceanco.
Up to 16 guests can be accommodated across the superyacht’s six luxurious staterooms, taken care of by a crew of 19.
Notable features onboard include a large cinema room, in addition to an opulent bar and dedicated office area for guests to use.
