Systems Thinking in 12 Minutes

Systems thinking - we hear much about it - and some of us are accomplished systems thinkers. But what about the rest of us. Russell Ackoff - the "father of modern systems thinking" provided some clear and humorous insight into systems thinking in a brief, 12 minute presentation at the Deming Institute many years ago. Though by today's standards, the video is very grainy, it can be seen at this link. Systemic Thinking is one of the key principles of the Shingo Model for Operational Excellence.
