So once in a Black Moon I get the itch to pen, to write about my thoughts and feelings on matters that overwhelm my medulla and share them with ya'll, thank you for tuning in. The most recent topic that came up was the issue of systems or rather decentralization as a key part of stabilizing unsettled Global South Nations, mostly those that are 'cursed' with resources. This has been presented as an integral piece to addressing gross human rights violations in certain countries in Sub Saharan Africa. In response, I retorted that it couldn't be that easy. And here is why, the resource curse is not an imagined concept that lacks solid ground or evidence historically or even in the present day. The Scramble for Africa had everything to do with the exploitation of mineral rich lands for the upliftment of the Global North. It had more to do with minerals and exploitation of cheap labour and far worse than it had to do with the conquering of far lands so that the King or Queen of England could placard their name on the country. MOST COLONISED LANDS WERE FIRST recognized and exploited for business then subjugated through external government intervention. THE DUTCH EAST INDIA COMPANY has the word COMPANY in its name, WHY DO WE THINK THINGS HAVE CHANGED? Companies like Nestle, Dell and Apple are continuously embroiled in exploitative practices globally to the initial shock, then acceptance of the masses... I am typing this on a Dell laptop right now. The truth of the matter is that the more tuned into misdirection presented as truth, the more pliable we become for external brainwashing. It was Noam Chomsky who recently expressed that the image of all actors and individuals being equal in a state is simply false, propaganda. It so called democratic nations present themselves as "ALL MEN BEING EQUAL UNDER GOD...,!" they will rarely ever go out to gain public opinion when addressing key issues, like going to war, you would think that a democratic institution would first gain public go ahead before deciding on attacking and engaging in warfare with another nation, but this is not the case. What then we should consider is the impact of elite governed institutions that profit from instability.
