System reboot

System reboot

Do you use a computer at work? Daft question, really – we all do. But computer systems, especially for smaller operations, rarely develop.  They just grow.  And grow.  What normally happens is that people simply extend them: they add bits on to the existing system, resulting in an unholy mess of wires, equipment and oft-incompatible programs.

Your brain – one of the best computer systems around! – is exactly the same.  We continue with the same old systems, using the habits and patterns which we have always followed.  We may pick up a new skill – but action it as we did things in the past.  We don’t stop to question if there are faster and more economic ways of doing the same thing, of getting the same results.  Or of getting the same results with less collateral damage to family, friends, colleagues, employees and ourselves.

And, for a business person, ‘economic’ can have two interpretations: you may be able to do the same thing at less cost – or you could do the same thing, with far more productive results.  Either way, that’s a win.  And the holy grail is to do things at less cost and with greater benefit – and that is where Refinity comes in.  We can work with you, helping you to consider how and why you do things, and to help you to consider alternative routes for you to follow.  We’re all different.  There is no ‘teach yourself computing’ or best-seller user guide that will really help you.  You need the added value of an experienced user sitting alongside, helping you, guiding you, questioning you.  Making you think.  And helping you to come up with solutions that are your solutions.  Tailored to your needs – and tailored to your abilities and interests.  Time for a system reboot!

If you feel it would be worthwhile having a brief, no-cost, no-obligation chat about any of the concepts here and discuss how they could generate value for you and your business, contact Sean on [email protected] or call 01522 700600.
