SynMatrix is now available on the Ansys Portal under 2024.R1

We are excited to announce that SynMatrix design software is now available for download on the Ansys portal under 2024.R1.

2024 boasts an exciting new year as the latest 2024.R1 release features several new capabilities including improvements that integrate SynMatrix design software directly with Ansys systems and the Ansys license manager. With the OEM partnership, SynMatrix is now an official product on the Ansys price list, which expands SynMatrix's market potential and sales outreach to the entire Ansys global customer base.

Here are some key highlights:

• Design licenses are now available for download from the Ansys portal under 2024.R1. This expands our reach to all Ansys customers across the globe
• Design License access is now fully enabled from the Ansys license manager. Ansys sales teams and customers can now use the same process to deploy and enable software access for SynMatrix.
• Now available on the Ansys academic bundle. Registered universities and colleges will now have access to SynMatrix for teaching, lab, and research purposes.
• Now available on the Ansys startup bundle. Qualified startups can now gain access to SynMatrix if they have access to the electronics bundle. This offers startups an affordable option to get going with SynMatrix today.
• Ansys and Ansys channel teams will lead all design-related account activities. The SynMatrix teams will continue to support customers and Ansys teams as needed.
• Manufacturing and test measurement tuning software?("Computer-aided Manufacturing System") continues to be sold directly by SynMatrix. Please contact [email protected] directly for trial evaluation licenses.

New Feature Support for Low Pass Microstrip Filters

Microstrip filters play a crucial role in modern communication systems, providing efficient solutions for signal processing and frequency control. The latest 2024.R1 release features new support for low pass microstrip filters.

Currently SynMatrix supports three types of filter synthesis: step impedance, open stub and elliptic. Similar to other supported filter technology workflows, users can input their design specifications (filter type, material definition, etc.). Once this is complete, users will get the L&C values, dimensions, group delay, and S-parameter responses.

Users will be able to review their 3D modelling parameter inputs for several component types before they are generated automatically in HFSS. There is also a page dedicated for circuit analysis and users can change the LC values of the filter circuit model.

Users will enjoy a host of customization features to help choose component types and dimensions values to help meet their design requirements. As an example, SynMatrix supports different capacitor shapes (rectangle and circular) and different shapes for meander and straight line for inductor modelling. With this flexibility, users are given a powerful set of modelling tools to help configure and customize models in HFSS.

Users will be able to automatically generate the 3D geometry and run the HFSS simulation directly from SynMatrix. Mesh settings can also be adjusted based on the user requirements. Once the simulation is complete, the results will be returned to SynMatrix automatically and users can compare the simulation and algorithm-based S-parameters.?

How to Get Access to a SynMatrix Design Evaluation License

SynMatrix design licenses can now be downloaded from the Ansys portal under 2024.R1. Go to the section under 'Add-on' packages and scroll down to 'SynMatrix'.
