Sympathetic Resonance and Your Health?

Synchrony, coherence, resonance... these terms are often used interchangeably, but what do they really mean? In the context of neuroscience, they refer to the phenomenon of neurons firing in unison. When groups of neurons fire together, they create a shared vibration that can be detected and measured. This resonance is thought to be a vital part of consciousness, as it allows different areas of the brain to communicate with each other.

Sympathetic resonance can be demonstrated easily by using an EEG (electroencephalogram). When two people sit next to each other and hold hands, their brain waves will start to match up. This is because the act of touching someone else triggers a sympathetic response in the brain, causing it to fire in unison with the other person's brain.

Studies have shown that resonance is not limited to the brain. It can be found in other parts of the body, such as the heart and gut. In fact, the heart is thought to be a hotspot for resonance. This may explain why emotions can so strongly affect the heart rate.?

One recent study looked at the effect of resonance on heart rate variability (HRV).?“Increased parasympathetic and decreased sympathetic activity were observed after practicing 20 minutes of resonance frequency breathing every day for four weeks. It also improved cognition and reduced perceived stress levels among young adults. It is recommended that young adults should practice deep breathing at the resonance frequency for a few minutes every day. This would allay anxiety and stress, improve their cognitive performance, and also reduce their cardiovascular morbidity.”?(Chaitanya S, Datta A, Bhandari B, et al. (February 13, 2022) Effect of Resonance Breathing on Heart Rate Variability and Cognitive Functions in Young Adults: A Randomized Controlled Study. Cureus 14(2): e22187. doi:10.7759/cureus.22187)

Sympathetic resonance can also be observed with sound frequencies. When two identical frequencies are played next to each other, they will start to oscillate in unison. This is because the sound waves are creating a shared vibration.

Sympathetic resonance may be responsible for the phenomenon of 'unity of consciousness.’ This is the feeling of being connected to everything around you, of seeing the world as one big whole. It may also be important for empathy and compassion, as it allows us to feel what others are feeling.

So what does all this mean? Sympathetic resonance is a real phenomenon, and it plays an important role in our physical and mental health and wellness. It enables different areas of the brain to communicate with each other, and it appears to be essential for a variety of cognitive, physical, and emotional processes.?

Soaak uses Sympathetic resonance in its protocol to address stress, anxiety, depression, and lack of sleep. Relief can be found when a specific Soaak Sound Frequency is played next to a person experiencing any of the symptoms mentioned above. We still have a lot to learn about this phenomenon and how it serves as a non-invasive method to help and heal the human body. Still, in the meantime, millions worldwide are experiencing its restorative properties.
