JUnit 5 and Java 17: Symflower now fully?supports JUnit 5 and we made it our default. We also support newer Java features and switched to Java 17 as the default. These involved major changes so please let us know at?[email protected]?how you like them.
Significant optimization: The newest version of Symflower brings you DRASTIC optimizations for mono-repos and automatic generation of tests. Our benchmarks show an improvement of 50-266% ??
We don't send your code home: Not a new feature, but a reminder given current events. Unlike other new software development?tools,?Symflower?works without sending your source code to external servers. ???? We are working hard to accomplish all computations in real time locally on your machine ?? while you are coding!
New formatting logic:?To better handle more complicated projects, Symflower now detects the indentation and other formatting styles of each file individually when changing test code??? ?? To change the default style, you can now just update your formatter’s configuration.

Test generation for unknown types: Symflower has taken the next step towards incremental real-time code analysis while you are typing ?? It can now generate tests for code that has unknown types in its signature or body. This allows us to generate unit test values even for code that does not?compile yet.
Clearing diagnostics: Due to popular request, Symflower now clears diagnostics of a file when the last editor showing a file is closed ???
Floats to float your boat???: So you are into floats and like to use different bases to express your values? ?? No problem! Hex 0x1p0, octal 0o1p0 or any other format – we now support them all!
