Sylvain’s Campaign Trail Newsletter

I am excited to provide you with this campaign update and will endeavour to send more frequent updates by email, and social media – follow me to find out more about what I have been up to!

It has been an incredible nine weeks since leaving my long-time role in neuropsychology, learning the ropes of being your candidate, and finding out about the issues that matter to residents of Newmarket-Aurora.

What I have enjoyed most of all is canvassing door-to-door, hearing the many stories that constituents have shared with me. I am grateful for the opportunity and trust you have placed in me to represent the Ontario Liberal Party in this incredible riding.

On April 12, our leader Steven Del Duca announced a key part of our election platform: the?Equal Pay and Opportunity for Women Act. I have heard numerous stories at the door about the importance of improving women’s health and safety, and the cost of childcare. Our Party is proposing clear measures that will build a fair society where everyone has the right and ability to live a fully functional and fulfilling life.

Join our team!

I am inviting you to join my campaign and experience the thrill of getting to know your community in a personal and profound way - something that is quite unique to political campaigns. Whether you are a seasoned political volunteer, or this is your first time, I am confident you will enjoy being part of the experience, and our team.

Come and canvass, be a driver, or learn about team phone banking. If chatting with constituents is not your thing, you can bring a friend and walk from door to door doing literature drops, or office work and signs. We work hard, but we enjoy our time together. There is nothing like the camaraderie that develops during a campaign; new friendships develop and existing ones will be rekindled. Join our fantastic team!?Sign up here!

As I am sure you know, campaigns are expensive. We must pay for signs, office rental, phones and internet, technology to manage our work, literature, etc. If you are able to donate, please give generously. You can DONATE HERE.

Donations to political parties in Ontario are eligible for generous tax credits.?You can receive tax credits up to 75% on your contributions. This means a donation of $100 will only cost you $25.?Give now and get 75% back!
