Magic Moments Foundation Basket Brigades were happening around Australia this month, bringing food, clothing, toys and gifts to those in need.
Sydney Basket Brigade packed 2000 baskets on Saturday at a warehouse: 56 Anzac Street, Chullora, NSW. They have 150 baskets still do deliver. Can you help?
We don't deliver as a charity. We say "the basket is from someone who cares" - as it truly is.
This was the feedback from one Brigade
"My Partner and I attended as first timers on Sunday! We wrapped, taped, tagged, messaged, packed, had a snack then back to more wrapping, more taping, sorting (because Mills and Boon would NOT be appropriate for an 8yr old!), more messaging, and more packing – phew!!
Then we had the very special privilege of actually delivering. It was the most rewarding, happy day. We were like little twitter bugs all the way home talking about the experience and how it made us feel. But the best bit was seeing the looks on the recipients face’s and getting big hugs and genuine, heartfelt gratitude. I had no idea there we‘re so many families in need. Sometimes reading about these causes on FB doesn’t seem real, standing on some-one’s doorstep and feeling their reaction makes it real and an experience I would encourage anyone to try.
What a wonderful thing you do, we’re so grateful to be a part of it and can’t wait for the next one!"

On Sabbatical
6 年It was just yesterday morning l was reflecting on that sense of feeling, what it must be like knocking on someone's door to deliver a basket of goodness, a parcel of joy. It really must be something quite special. I hope BBS got the people needed to fulfil their needs. Congratulations to all the BB's on their amazing help to people in need in our communities.
