We’re Fibon Energy.?

We want to take you through what it takes to be a successful sustainability leader, but direct this topic to how this should define what you consider when looking to go solar.

In this article, we’ll tackle;

  • Why long-term Partnerships benefit this journey
  • Why a move to solar energy is cost-effective in the long run?
  • Tracking actions: SA’s power roll in commerce.
  • The future forecasts of two of our clients.

Let’s get started, 3 top considerations to look out for when investing in your green ambition.?

1. A Cost-effective Approach

South Africa enjoys 2500 hours of sunshine per year, let’s now shift our thinking to how that renewable energy can minimise costs and maximise reliability and sales for your business. Our economy needs it more than ever, and we also found that clients need the structure and support to get started.

We’re experts in reducing your costs. Not only do we set up the solar plant, but we also invest the capital to own and operate your solar, taking the risk with you to make sure your system works well and saves you money. We focus on your green initiative, while you focus on sailing your company in the right direction

“Businesses and households who can and have installed solar panels in their homes or businesses will be able to sell surplus power they don’t need to Eskom.” - Encouraging statement from our government, but, let’s not count on that. Let’s dive into a solution where you don’t have to rely on anyone but the decision you make after reading this article, let’s focus on something reliable and longer-lasting.

2. A long-term partnership

The solar industry is endless, and a long-term partnership gives you the freedom to plan, predict and operate during power cuts, water shortages or steep fuel prices. To be able to grow your business, you need to forecast. A? long-term power purchase agreement provides a hedge to rising electricity costs with Fibon’s fixed annual escalation and helps you lower your energy cost from day one over the long run?

“Whether it’s board, operation or even location changes, our clean energy solutions will still be there”
- Avesh Padayachee?

A textile manufacturing business in Mpumalanga approached Fibon. This client had to deal with load shedding from Eskom and intermittent power from the local municipality. When textile machines are shut down normally, they take 30 minutes to restart, however, due to the power cuts, production lines were shut down abnormally and had to be restarted after 8-9 hours. A few thousand workers had to leave work for the rest of the day.

  • The Sustainable Impact of Our Work.

We proposed a ground-mounted solar solution (2.5MWp) covering in excess of 21 000 square meters and a UPS commercial scale battery storage solution (2MVA, 4MWh battery) that is housed in four 20-foot containers (6.1m x 2.4m x 2.5m).? According to our power purchase agreement, Fibon offers a single tariff for each unit of electricity used by the business. Our client will be able to operate 24/7 even during power cuts from the grid and reduce their electricity costs from day one.

3. A Track Record Of Actions.

In another case last month, we completed a project for Assore, a mining holding company with their head office in Illovo, Gauteng. Assore will benefit from reduced electricity costs and mitigate downtime during load-shedding while contributing to a decarbonised economy and sustainability goals. The bespoke energy solution consists of a solar carport, generator integration and a battery energy storage solution.

Today we own, operate and maintain more than R100 Million worth of solar energy projects for our clients in all provinces in South Africa; with an additional R250 Million in construction.
