The primary work involved in obtaining better results is emotional labor. 

Imagine that you are in a car, and your daily choices are either drive you one step closer to your desired results (positive spiral) or one step further from those results (negative spiral). 

When your habit is to simply wait and react to the actions of others you end up working for someone else and following their Vision and not your own. Your unwillingness to do emotional labor is keeping you in comfort zone prison. The emotional connection you make with the importance to you of your desired results becomes your motivation to take action. The emotional labor of taking the action is the cost required to achieve better results.
