Swim With A Mission Assists Local New Hampshire Veterans Charity

I would be remiss if I did not take this opportunity to publicly thank Jeff Hiatt, New England Director for MS Consultants that has offices in Hampton Falls, New Hampshire, for his masterful seizing of a tremendous opportunity to promote and solidify a collateral, philanthropic connection.

As a colleague and personal friend of mine, Jeff and I have similar charitable interests. He is a Board member of SWAM, Swim With A Mission, an organization headquartered in Bedford, New Hampshire, dedicated to supporting ‘worthy organizations that support, service and honor our veterans.’ I champion Liberty House, a substance-free facility in Manchester, New Hampshire, aimed at assisting veterans’ reentry into civilian life with confidence and sustainable skills, in a safe and supportive environment. 

Now under the auspices of New Hampshire Catholic Charities (NHCC), Liberty House has the benefit of a solid organization behind its mission.

Jeff met the CFO of NHCC at a social event I coordinated, and became aware of the challenges Liberty House was facing procuring donations. Jeff took this matter to the SWAM Board and facilitated a grant via the CARES Act, on behalf of SWAM to Liberty House for an incredible $1,000,000.00. Previously, these two neighboring organizations were not aware of each other’s existence. Because of Jeff’s personal interest in the sacrifice of our veteran’s and his business acumen, Jeff deepened this initial introduction into a now-substantial partnership.  This is much in keeping with Jeff’s collaborative and entrepreneurial approach to business.

Please join me in thanking Jeff for his tremendous and selfless efforts in promoting the dual missions and unified objective of these non-profit organizations in championing the welfare of our veterans!
