The sweet and sour of small business

There’s never been a better time to be a small business owner.

There’s also never been a tougher time to be a small business owner.

You have a great idea.

You have passion.

You have confidence.

So you jump in and do it. 

And then the reality hits. 

This is tough. 

This is lonely.

Do I know what I’m doing?

What should I do next?

What if I take a wrong turn?

How do I navigate the journey ahead in the right way?

Who do I trust?

And then you have your doubters. 

Friends and family who support you … with the classic “but” … thrown in at the end.

But … how will you pay the bills?

But … it’s so risky!

All of this is true. 

So what IS the best way forward? 

Here’s my two cents … Listen. Read. Learn. Try.

Take advantage of opportunities that come along. 

Do your best to do your best.  

Be brave (taking the leap means you already are).

And believe. 

Because the ride will not be easy but it will be an adventure.
