  3. Malpuwa ( My Maiju used to make best)
  4. Anarsaa ( My matrenal families always makes )
  5. Arsa ( My Maiju from Janakpur is expert )
  6. Festive Peda ( most of the time Bought in from Mahendra Pool )
  7. Laddu ( This was every Tuesday my Thulo mum used to make it )
  8. Ainthe Mari ( One of Nostalgic food from my childhood, local shop )
  9. Khajuri (Flaky Fried Cookies my uncle used to make at Malekhu )
  10. Cashew Burfi ( most of the time bought in )
  11. Lal Mohan ( Fried milk dumpling soaked in sugar syrup )
  12. Rasbari ( Poached Milk dumpling soaked in Sugar syrup)
  13. Doodh-Bari (Poached Milk dumpling soaked in flavoured milk )
  14. Gud-Paak ( From New Road Kathmandu )
  15. Gulmari Sweets (crunchy glazed and shaped like a thin noodle)


These all from my head, please help me to add more. I'm here just trying to save forgotten foods of Nepal. I have full time global role at different cuisine as Research and Development Chef for multi national company.

You can call them desserts but I would call all day snacks . The confections can be enjoyed at breakfast, as an afternoon tea snack or after dinner. The traditional sweets are enjoyed especially during our feast, special days, celebrations and festivities.
